5 steps to not looking for glasses on your own head

From time to time you catch yourself thinking that you forgot what you were talking about or what you were going to say? Do you forget the names of people you recently met? Where did you put your glasses or diary? Maybe you even fall asleep in meetings that are too long? Do you have to laugh it off with phrases like “Old age is not a joy”?

Step 1. Give up cakes

If you want your brain to stay healthy and work faster, the first step is to stop eating foods that contain trans fatty acids. They are found in industrially prepared baked goods (cookies, cakes, chips) and fried foods. Trans fatty acids are used to repair the cell membrane, but unlike the healthier type of fats, they make it tough and impenetrable. The ability to remember, learn new things, even maintain a good mood depends on the state of health and flexibility of the cell membrane.

Step 3. Be careful with medications

If you regularly take prescription or over-the-counter medications, be careful not to lose nutrients to your brain. Many medications help clear B vitamins and antioxidants (specifically coenzyme Q10 and glutathione) from the body, which are essential for brain health. If you are taking a medication that removes substances that the brain needs from the body, you can compensate for these losses by taking vitamins. Consult your doctor.

If you deprive the brain of the ability to do all this on a regular basis, toxic substances begin to accumulate and can accelerate the aging of the brain. Step 5. Don’t forget about your hobby

Find a hobby that you like: the brain will be more active and will remain sharp longer, and you will feel happier. Choose an activity that is different from your day-to-day work activities. Play a musical instrument. Master bridge. Visit a book lovers club. Start making clay. First, it’s a great way to relieve stress. Second, when you take on new tasks, thereby stimulating brain cells, new dendrites form. The more dendrites in the brain, the more efficient the exchange of information between brain cells and the sharper your mind. And one more thing: Research shows that people who do other things besides work have a lower risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease. So do something interesting.
